# Organize with AI (OwAI)

> Local-first photo and video organization for macOS, Windows and Linux, with OneDrive integration and MCP tools for AI assistants.

Local desktop use is free. OneDrive and both MCP connections require permanent Cloud Access; hosted AI uses prepaid credits. Index sync stores metadata and embeddings, not originals. OneDrive originals stay with Microsoft: previews and library edits work without a desktop. For local-folder previews, remote read_media needs the owning app online with Remote media access enabled; this defaults off. open_media is a separate same-computer window action. These public guides do not authorize library access. Live MCP tool discovery is the API contract.
